The first thought that came to mind while reading this post was, "What is the demographic of her area?" I live in the Los Angeles basin, I have always found a plethora of single Christian males in the church. I agree that one would find more married men in the Church. I suspect that many of them are going to please their wives. But no doubt there are those who truly seek to know Christ and take part in fellowship with other believers. However, single Christian males are out there. I find that they are usually attracted to churches that exhibit a more contemporary style of service - from worship, to clothing, to the pastor. We want to go to a church where we will learn more about God and fall deeper into His Word. These days churches are filled with pastors who give topical teachings each week, whether it be tithing or love or marriage or finance and so forth. The younger generations have grown up in a world where Christianity is equated with stupidity and foolishness. Rationality and reason is the source of truth. Faith leads to fables. Unfortunately, many of the churches do not present Scripture in a proper light. As a philosophy and psychology student, I have come to learn that Christianity is the soundest of all thought, but I never got that impression from churches I attended in my youth. They have done more harm than good. I do not wish to waste my time where I won't grow, and I'm sure I'm not the only single male who thinks that. I am not saying that all single Christian males attend church. Many choose not to go for various reasons whether it be pride, arrogance, lack of discipline, unsound teaching or misplaced priorities. That is unfortunate. Some go to church for the wrong reasons, such as trying to meet girls or "chilling." But there are many who do attend church, seek God with all their heart, spend time with Him in prayer and the Word, and seek fellowship with others. In our postmodern culture, young men want to know that Christianity is true and that hope is real. The surest way to know that is to spend time in the Word. This is just my opinion, but if you find a church that adopts an expositional teaching of the Word, the more likely you'll find single Christian men.
